Leaving for Argentina today!
Posted on January 6, 2010
I’m leaving for the airport in a few hours. I can’t believe how fast this past month has flown by. Today is the day I’ll be leaving for Argentina. I’m tasting the words as I say them out loud. The butterflies in my belly are flying all over the place! LOL I’m so excited. I hardly slept last night. I was thinking about the trip and the obstacle course and how I will do. I love to travel and I love to have a challenge so it can’t get any more exciting for me!
I want to thank everyone for your support. It means the world to me. Thank you for reading my blog, following along and cheering me on. I have been overwhelmed by how much everyone has taken interest in my participation in Wipeout and how everybody has been willing to help me with my training and given me his or her words of encouragement.
I do not know if our hotel in Buenos Aires has a wireless internet connection, but I’ll bring my laptop and if everything works out, I’ll be blogging while I’m there about my experiences. If not, you’ll have to wait until I’m back home in a week to get an update :)
However I place in the competition, I feel that I have already won. I have tried so many new things in the past month and I have achieved so much more than I thought was possible.
- I would never have thought that I could run for an entire hour!
- I would never have thought that I could jump 7 Reebok boxes!
- I would never have thought that I could survive a spin class!
I have improved my core strength a great deal as well. My love for the stability ball has become even greater and I will continue to work more with it after my return from Argentina.
My cardio vascular conditioning has rapidly improved.
My speed and explosiveness have improved.
I’ve lost 5kg/11 lb in one month.
Today I made some photos as evidence of the great shape I have achieved in just one month:

Evolutionhotel athlete Veronique Nataf made me a wonderful present: This beautiful bikini I’m wearing. Thank you Veronique!
Thank you all!!! I can’t wait to tell you how everything goes! I’m off! :)
Your friend,
Helle
