Iceskating today.

Today I went ice skating with my nephew. I thought it would be good practice for my balance.OMG it was so much harder than I can remember from when I was a child. I tried to skate most of the hour we had rented the skates for. I found out that the skating was quite hard on the ankles and I had to sit down a few times to recuperate. I was happy that I've been doing my stability training frequently, skating demands a LOT from your balance. I was proud that I didn't fall even once :)
Afterwards I headed out to the gym and did bi's and tri's. I wanted to do a spin class but was told there was none before next year. Oh well. I did some sprint sessions on the treadmill but I was pretty much toast after the ice skating. My muscles in my legs were tired and I had some blisters from the skates so it wasn't the greatest sprinting but I did it.
Tomorrow I will travel home for Christmas. It's about 4 hours south east of Copenhagen in the country. I'm looking forward to go and spend some time with the family. It looks like we will have a white Christmas this year. It was snowing quite heavily today. I love the snow :)
One of my best friends owns a gym in my home town I can't wait to train there. It's a great place with a great atmosphere. I'm planning to take a LOT of classes during my stay there. They've got everything! I can't wait!
Happy Holidays,
Helle
